Great Tree Info from Casey Trees

If you’ve never heard of the nonprofit group Casey Trees, I’ll summarize by declaring it possibly the best-endowed AND best-run nonprofit in all of Washington, D.C.  It’s been voted Best Place to Volunteer in a City Paper poll – an opinion I’ve heard repeated by many of its volunteers, and based on my two days volunteering for the group, I concur.  Their mission is “to restore, enhance, and protect the tree canopy of the Nation’s Capital.”

So we shouldn’t be surprised that Casey Trees has a blog and it’s a really good one.   Here are two recent and timely posts for tree-lovers that caught my eye.
